Jane Be Pure Mineral Gel Liners
I know these Jane liners isn’t big news to many, but it’s new to me because I just got them! So I’ll just put in my two cents about it, since my opinion seems to differ from other bloggers about these particular liners…
Here are the Jane liners with the Coastal Scents liner in the middle. The Jane gives you 0.17 oz/5 g. of product while CS is 0.11 oz/3 g. so with CS you get a little less. They cost about the same, but if you can get the Jane ones on BOGO, then they you’re really only pay a few bucks each!

I feel like the CS liner is a bit more pigmented than the Jane black one. The one gripe I have with the Jane liners is that their texture is super dry! I really have to work my brush in the liner for a while to get product onto my brush and it makes it harder to apply too because its like tryin to put a dry pencil eyeliner on your eyes and it skips places and you gotta go over it twice to get good color. I mean I guess I should have expected that since these are basically the cheapest gel liners out there [oh wait, now that I think about it Wet n Wild has cheap ones too! never tried them though], but it seems others have had better luck with them. I did not care for the brush, the bristles are not in a straight line, like some parts are thicker than others so it makes for imprecise application. However I’m decided to use these Jane brushes as a backup eyebrow brush, so that’s cool.
I continue to use the Jane liners because I had a bad experience swapping so I didn’t really want to do that [unless someone can make me an offer I can't refuse! haha] and I like the brown color! It’s hard to use, but I still try to make it work cuz otherwise I would need to buy another brown gel liner in a different brand. So yeah, they’re ok. Good for beginners… I have a feeling that you would have to use the liner pretty much daily so that the top doesn’t dry out and get like a dry skin that you have to break through to get to the more moist liner underneath it. I would give the Jane gel liners a 7/10 nuts. The price is good, pigmentation is good, it’s just the texture that’s EH to me. I don’t think I would repurchase though haha sorry.
And in an effort to make up for lack of posting, I have a FOTD for you all too! So I was going to visit my friend and they were gonna have a going away party for her cousin during the daytime so this was my FOTD
I kept it neutral and light since it was in the afternoon. Oh yeh and I used the NYC white eyeliner on my waterline, so I don’t know if you can tell but it really opens up my eyes!

- Revlon Colorstay in Fresh beige on t-zone, Medium beige on cheeks
Eyes
- Neutral Estee Lauder quad with grey, brown, shimmery tan and matte cream
Lips
- MAC Elegant Peach lipglass [LE] on top of NYX Circe
I did the matte color all over, then the grey in the contour, some brown in the crease and the tan on my lid under the contour. It’s boring haha and it’s what I do almost every time.

I have a short review on N.Y.C. eyeliner pencils!

The last time I bought a NYC eyeliner I think I was in middle school, but I wanted to try them out again because the waterproof pencils were getting good reviews on MUA. The pencils were surprisingly more pigmented than I remember from before. I was especially happy with the black and the white pencil I got. The brown, I was originally gonna use it as a brown eyeliner, but I found it wasn’t dark enough for my liking so I started using it for my brows and it turned out good because I can get a fuller brow with pencil than with powder.

I used the white on my waterline to make eyes appear bigger or less tired. I lined my bottom lashline with a bit of black and used the brown on my eyebrows.
I’m glad i didn’t go ahead and buy the Sephora eyeliner pencils that I was eyeing because the regular wood eyeliner from NYC costs a dollar and the waterproof one costs around 4 dollars versus the Sephora ones which cost $5-$8. I might still pick up a brown one from Sephora though. I would definately repurchase these and I love that you can buy it almost anywhere and they’re so cheap!

*not pictured* this cute travel case of 5 gram jars and mini squeeze bottles filled with different hair serums! Ah I love it! And one of the jars has MAC brush cleanser in it…so I can wash one brush, LOL. I love you Anna! By the way she has a blog of her own and has cool posts and she actually uses MAC stuff and does a lot of FOTDs of which I am too broke and lazy to do haha.

These swatches remind me why people buy MAC pigments which give you a ridiculous amount you can’t use up and are not even cheap at the same time….cuz the colors are freakin gorgeousss! I don’t even wear orange eyeshadow ever but that Off the Radar is sexy, I’m gonna have to use it in a look one of these days!
Revlon Mix & Mingle Again
I wanna try to get the other 2 or 3 colors if I find them on sale. Revlon is discontinuing this series, but I still see it around sometimes and some places are selling them for really cheap to get rid of their stock, while others are still selling it at retail price which is around 10 dollars. I got all of mine for less than 3 dollars

Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush
HAPPY NEW YEAR’S EVERYONE!! Did you have a good new years eve? I did, I watched fireworks off the Embarcadero in San Francisco with my babes and my cousin and new friends. It was soo nice!

The shadow looks like its in a liquid liner type packaging, so I thought it would be a cream shadow, but its actually powder inside, with a sponge tip applicator. This will be great for highlighting the tear duct and the applicator is already included so I don’t need a separate brush.

The Beauty Rush lipglosses are very sheer, almost like a clear gloss on my lips. They both contain shimmer, but it’s subtle once on the lips. The snowplum [pink] has a weird scent that I can’t describe and the spicee apple [beige] has a bubble-gum sorda scent. One caveat to the beauty rush glosses are that they are REALLY STICKY, but I’m drawn to them because they are affordable, have a wide color selection, moisturizing and since they are so sticky, they’ll stay on your lips foreverr.

And because of the sale I got each item for $1.75 each! 
They normally cost $7.00 if you only buy one and then the price changes if you buy 2 or 3, like 2 for $12 or 3 for $15…I think those are the prices. I went to a different Victoria’s secret and found another beauty rush gloss and it was like a pina colada flavor and the color was a shimmery light brown and I wanted it, but I didn’t want to wait in line just to buy one thing. Oh well, I still have my first BR lip gloss [tastes and looks like apricot] and I’m still working on it!
Oh yeah and I think it’s really cool that the lip gloss is swirled in the tube. How do they do that?? It’s amazing…

I used #1 [the numbered swatches above] in the contour, number 2 along the upper lashline, then 3 for highlight. I didnt realize those other colors, the ones I used on the highlight were pretty shimmery, but luckily I didn’t use much because Kim Kardashian says you never use a shimmery highlight! The eyeshadows were applied on top of Urban Decay Primer Potion.
Get some at the 99 cent store!!!

Wet & Wild Lippies!
Wet & Wild lipsticks, I believe they are called Silk Finish…they’re the 99 cent ones!! The tip was smashed when I bought it, booo. But it’s cool, for that price I can always get another! Overall, I think the pictures speak for themselves. The lipsticks are really pigmented and I’m happy with the colors I bought. The lasting power is not so great, but reappying is not a big deal to me. I give them a 5/5 just because the value is incredible!

WnW Megaslicks Lip gloss
These glosses were ok. The pro is that the color looks nice and it doesn’t dry my lips out. The con is the taste! It has a plastic-y taste and it’s gross and if you try to eat something while wearing this gloss your food will taste plastic-y too. That sucks, but at least I know now that I shouldn’t repurchase these. They retail for $1.99.
Oh yeh, I got clear gloss because it’s has so many uses! Like if you have a lipgloss and you want it to be more sheer, or if your lipstick is too matte and you want to add shine, or if you can’t decide what lipgloss to wear that day..opt for clear! Goes with everything!
Revlon Mix & Mingle Lipgloss
They were on crazy discount at Walgreens! Revlon is phasing out this collection so all of it is at closeout prices! The texture is semi sticky and it feels moisturizing on my lips. There’s a faint lemon-y scent to it and no taste. Normally I wouldn’t pick out something like this because since there’s 3 colors in un-equal amounts, I would freak out if I liked one of the colors the best and I used it up before the others. Yeah I’m just weird like that. But I read a good review on it and the price was right so I decided to try it out. Plus I’m trying to get more brown lippies or glosses because, it’s weird, I always feel like they don’t look good in the tube but once its on lips, its really flattering! I would definately buy again, hopefully they don’t run out before I can get to them! Let me know if you want me to do swatches on the lips of these colors!

This is my DIY black frenchie! I normally don’t do french manicures. I’m just not that type of girl, but I saw a girl practicing her french mani with black nail polish and I thought it looked cool! I already know it won’t last though…I don’t take good care of my nails! haha

The blushes are even cuter in person! Gentleness [beige pink] isn’t normally that shimmery but I swatched it wet cuz its hard to photograph. Illuminated is a highlight color that’s why it’s very faint.
Now that I look at all the swatches…I want to buy all of them, crap! I also have Awg eyeshadows that I’ll swatch later!
Oh yeh, story about the second and third pictures…I put my arm and the counter to steady it and the counter was friggin cold! So I got goosebumps haha, but I took the picture anyway.
