Eyelid Cleanser

I stumbled upon this while shopping for ear plugs today [I'm strangely excited about having ear plugs, but that's a whole other story in itself]…and they are eyelid cleansers! At first I thought to myself, what the heck is an eyelid cleanser? And then I thought to myself, hm, maybe I need that in my life! haha. It’s basically individually wrapped pads soaked in eyelid cleaning solution, or you can opt for just the solution and use your own wiping device. After I looked it up I found out that it’s supposed to help with a condition called blepharitis which is when your eyelash follicles become inflamed from an overgrowth of bacteria. But the reason why I wanted it was because my eyes are constantly stinging! Probably from use of sunscreen, but sometimes they will sting if I’m not wearing sunscreen either and it’s baaaaad, like oh crap I can’t see where I’m driving anymore because my eyes are stinging and watering up kinda bad. Here’s the caveat though, a package of these are expensive! From what I saw a pack runs from $14-$20! What’s in these things, liquid gold or something?? So, needless to say I didn’t pick any up today, but if one day I get really fed up with my eye stinging…then eyelid cleanser here I come!

The comparison is pretty inaccurate [actually pretty horribly inaccurate] considering it’s obvious that the lighting is different in each picture. I noticed a significant lightening of my teeth and I am a little more than halfway through with the box. The next update will be better cuz I figured out how to take pictures in my room without everything being tinged yellow 
Do Crest Whitestrips Work?
I decided my teeth needed an intervention. I decided to try the Crest Whitestrips Classic because I tried them before a long time ago, except that two other family members shared a box with me, so you can imagine we each would not see a dramatic difference. So I’m giving it another go, with my very own box this time! i bought this kit a wihle ago, almost 2 weeks ago, but I have to admit I haven’t been consistent in using it because 1) I’m lazy and 2) it started to make my teeth sensitive so i needed to get toothpaste for sensitive teeth.
Here are my results so far! And I would like to say that I don’t think my teeth were THAT YELLOW when I first started, but the lighting in my room is really yellow and so…yeh. I really should just take my progress pictures in the afternoon from now on huh? Hahah

I already am starting to see a difference! So I’m gonna give it another week, I don’t know how many times I’ll be able to use it during that time, but I’ll update next week!
Custom Nail Polish!
I stumbled upon this blog where someone creates her won nail polish colors and I thought it was freaking genius! And yeh I sorda broke my lent thing at the same time, but at least it got me to post right? 
The blog is drfrankenpolish and it’s called “franken-ing” because you take a bunch of little parts and put them together to make something new! I thought this was a great way to get colors I can’t find at the store or to finally use polish that is sitting around being wasted.
I started with these colors. As you can see I used cheap Jordana nail polishes and a Bath and Body Works polish that is really old and I think I only used it like 3 times before I was tired of it. The last color on the far right is a really cheapy polish from one of those makeup kit things. The base is the light color on the far left, its a sheer shimmery color and I didn’t realize it was sheer until swatching it later…

I was going for a taupe color or “greige” as nail polish connoisseurs like to call it. But instead I ended up with a sorda lavender color. I guess the base had a lot of purple undertones I wasn’t aware of.

Exciting right?! And it’s a good way to recycle polish bottles by cleaning them out with nail polish remover so you could make an all new color inside or using a partially full bottle and adding to it.
No Inspiration
I don’t know what to write about! I’m having writer’s black and starting a post and then I don’t like the post and I haven’t been buying a lot of makeup lately either…I’m stuck. Sorry guys, let’s hope I snap outta it soon!

The bottom loose eyeshadow is from Adorned with Grace Minerals Testing phase, the eyeshadow that corresponds to this tester on her site is called Intuitive [coppered taupe], it’s one of my favorite eyeshadows that I always reach for!

I tried putting the yellow at the inner part of my lid at first and blending it with the orange, but then it reminded me too much of flames and I’m not a flame type of gal, so I just made the whole lid orange and used the coppered taupe to contour. I wasn’t sure if I was gonna like how it turned out because it just looked weird at first, but after some blending I think it turned out cool. Not necessarily like I’m gonna wear this look to school cool though…haha
I wore this look to the Warriors game on March 17, where we beat the Clippers!

Maybelline Intense XXL
I’m never usually picky with my mascaras. I even used to dig the infamous pink and green tube back in the day. I’ve never met a mascara that made my lashes look like crazy spider legs until now…

The mascara has two sides, the white [but dries to be almost transparent] primer and the regular black mascara side. I believe both sides have microfibers to add length. I was excited to try this because I never had a mascara with a primer before. I thought that if a regular mascara can add definition to my lashes, imagine what a primer would do! However, I was utterly disappointed. It was hard to apply when normally I don’t have an issue applying mascara. No matter what I did, it would just look messy. The worst part is, it would flake and make it to my cheeks in the middle of the day! So yeah, I’m still gonna use it for a couple more months I guess, but that’s cuz I’m the type who can’t bear to throw things away haha. I only bought it a month ago! I might as well try to use up some of it until I move on to the next mascara. I guess it will do as long as no one looks too closely at my lashes!
Oh yeah and it seems to take the curl out of my lashes too…dang, this is such a negative review, Maybelline probably hates me right now hahah. I would give it a 2 nuts out of 5 sadly. Oh yeah and I decided to have my rating scale according to nuts because I’m NUTS for makeup right? [I need to make a cute icon for the nuts, or someone needs to make one for me...hah, cuz graphic design is not my strong point]. haha and I can’t use lippies cuz that’s MAkeupAlley…
