I finally made another video! It’s been like a few weeks since I last made one, I really wanna get back in the groove of making videos again
Oh and I wasn’t wearing any foundation for the first part of the video, while I was filming I didn’t think it looked too bad, but after watching the playback I could see how blotchy my skin looked. But that just goes to show that I’m not perfect and that’s okay. Acne has been a part of my life for a really long time and my skin is actually in pretty good condition now, considering all it has been through. I did apply eyeliner, brows, and concealer over my under eye circles before the video though, I’m not ready to be seen naked just yet! haha
Hope this is helpful!

How to use:
SHAKE CAN BEFORE USE AND IN BETWEEN SPRAYS. Hold can approximately 30 cm from hair and spray lightly, giving even coverage. Use fingertips to massage through hair and leave for a few moments. Brush product out, preferably using a natural bristle brush.
I took these with the function on my camera ISO 3200, it just makes the pic look like it was taken from a webcam! Does anyone know what it’s used for? Anyway here are my “webcam pics” haha

This product is great for touching up your roots when after your hair was styled/blown out, so that you can keep the style for another day and still be fresh. I think hair is healthier when you don’t over wash it anyway, I mostly just wash my bangs on a daily basis. The scent smells powdery and a bit like pineapple I think? Cuz it’s supposed to be tropical! The best part about it is the spray helps to add volume to your hair!
I just learned in one of my classes that hospitals will sometimes use dry shampoo while giving patients a bed bath. Cool!
At least that’s my theory for why people go GAGA over this stuff! And now I’m one of them! This is my haul, I only got two things cuz man….it’s expensive haha
I got the Aquamarina cleanser and Mange Too massage bar!
I’ll describe the massage bar first. It’s a bar of solid cocoa butter, that melts from body warmth so you could use the bar directly on the body to massage or let it melt in your hands and then apply to body. I got it because I wanted something super moisturizing to use on my legs, so that when I bare my legs in the summer they can shine in the sun hahah. I picked this one especially because it smells like white chocolate…well I guess all their massage bars smell like white chocolate since they are made out of cocoa butter, but the other ones had other flavors mixed in too. And I can smell something else in the Mange bar and I couldn’t really place my finger on what it was, but I read later that it’s supposed to have peppermint in it so I guess that’s what it is. It smells so so good! I got my mom to try it out too and she liked it 🙂 i dunno if I would trust it though as a moisturizer on its own [like on dry skin], but it should help lock in moisture after a shower or if you layer it over lotion. Oh yeah and the Mange bar seems like a better deal for the price cuz they are all around $7-$9 and the Mange was $9.75 for 3.5 ounces and some bars are like the same price, but much smaller.
Now onto the Aquamarina…
So being a Lush noob, I didn’t realize this wasn’t a soap when I bought it and when I went to use it I expected soap, but it’s really more like clay. On the Lush forums they describe these roll types of cleansers as “squidgy” haha. It doesn’t lather whatsoever, and you kinda just rub the stuff across your face and it leaves behind a white film and the film is kinda hard to rinse off! Like..actually really hard to rinse off. Not everyone has this experience though so maybe if I exfoliate beforehand then it can’t stick to my face, so I’m gonna try that out next. A lot of people will describe the scent of Aquamarina as fishy, and I guess I can see how they would think that, but mine doesn’t smell fishy to me, but more like it came from the ocean, probably due to the seaweed. The clay part smells like old lady floral, but I don’t hate it! I think I’m getting used to these weird, natural, LUSH scents. It’s really addicting!
I recently came to the conclusion that I have sensitive skin, after thinking my whole life that my skin wasn’t sensitive. But then I started thinking why is my skin always red or pinkish? And then I thought maybe my skin is sensitive or even has a mild form of rosacea. That’s why I picked out Aquamarina because it’s supposed to be soothing to sensitive skin and reduce redness because of the calamine in it. So far I think it has helped with my redness. A con though is I can see how it could be drying since one of the main ingredients is kaolin clay, and the first time I used it I really had a problem rinsing and my skin ended up feeling tight later. I want to try Dark Angels next! The sales associate recommended it to me, but they sold out at the store I went to.
LePooke did a video about how if you order LUSH from the UK it’s cheaper cuz they price their stuff a LOT cheaper over there for some reason. Maybe over there it’s really normal to buy lush like, “oh it’s just LUSH” haha I dunno!
So there you have it, my new obsession. Please help me so I don’t buy up the whole store!
I got my hands on some Rimmel Lasting Finish Mineral Enriched Foundation and I’m kinda torn about whether or not I like this foundation. Compared to the Revlon Colorstay, it does not apply as smoothly. The Rimmel foundation was blotchy looking and accentuated dry spots. In the picture below I have CS on most of my face and Rimmel on my forehead. It also looks really dark in the tube, but once applied it is lighter. I think the shade I got might still be a tad light for me, but the other choices I had at Walgreens at the time seemed to be a worse match than what I chose so I figured I could balance out the lightness with bronzer. As for staying power, I think it holds up pretty well. I admit I only tried it out twice, but both those times were for a party situation when I needed my makeup to be reliable and it didn’t disappoint me. I actually think that the Lasting Finish looks better after it settles with your skin. So even though the review may sound terrible, I don’t think this is a bad foundation, but if i was really seriously buying a foundation I would stick with the Colorstay and if it was like an emergency situation I would pick up the Rimmel.
I did this look a couple weeks ago to go to a party and I made the liner pretty dramatic for a more funky look. On my lips I don’t remember exactly what I used but I know I used my Wet n Wild hot pink lipstick plus a gloss.
I know these Jane liners isn’t big news to many, but it’s new to me because I just got them! So I’ll just put in my two cents about it, since my opinion seems to differ from other bloggers about these particular liners…
Here are the Jane liners with the Coastal Scents liner in the middle. The Jane gives you 0.17 oz/5 g. of product while CS is 0.11 oz/3 g. so with CS you get a little less. They cost about the same, but if you can get the Jane ones on BOGO, then they you’re really only pay a few bucks each!
This picture was taken with flash
I feel like the CS liner is a bit more pigmented than the Jane black one. The one gripe I have with the Jane liners is that their texture is super dry! I really have to work my brush in the liner for a while to get product onto my brush and it makes it harder to apply too because its like tryin to put a dry pencil eyeliner on your eyes and it skips places and you gotta go over it twice to get good color. I mean I guess I should have expected that since these are basically the cheapest gel liners out there [oh wait, now that I think about it Wet n Wild has cheap ones too! never tried them though], but it seems others have had better luck with them. I did not care for the brush, the bristles are not in a straight line, like some parts are thicker than others so it makes for imprecise application. However I’m decided to use these Jane brushes as a backup eyebrow brush, so that’s cool.
I continue to use the Jane liners because I had a bad experience swapping so I didn’t really want to do that [unless someone can make me an offer I can’t refuse! haha] and I like the brown color! It’s hard to use, but I still try to make it work cuz otherwise I would need to buy another brown gel liner in a different brand. So yeah, they’re ok. Good for beginners… I have a feeling that you would have to use the liner pretty much daily so that the top doesn’t dry out and get like a dry skin that you have to break through to get to the more moist liner underneath it. I would give the Jane gel liners a 7/10 nuts. The price is good, pigmentation is good, it’s just the texture that’s EH to me. I don’t think I would repurchase though haha sorry.
And in an effort to make up for lack of posting, I have a FOTD for you all too! So I was going to visit my friend and they were gonna have a going away party for her cousin during the daytime so this was my FOTD
I kept it neutral and light since it was in the afternoon. Oh yeh and I used the NYC white eyeliner on my waterline, so I don’t know if you can tell but it really opens up my eyes!
I forgot to apply mascara before, but this is after mascara
– Revlon Colorstay in Fresh beige on t-zone, Medium beige on cheeks
– Neutral Estee Lauder quad with grey, brown, shimmery tan and matte cream
– MAC Elegant Peach lipglass [LE] on top of NYX Circe
I did the matte color all over, then the grey in the contour, some brown in the crease and the tan on my lid under the contour. It’s boring haha and it’s what I do almost every time.
This is my friend Audrey, the one who’s house I went to. I love her and I wish we could see each other more often, unfortunately our schools are 2 hours away from each other!
She let me trim her bangs
And she let me do her eye makeup! Super gorgeous!
I hope she doesn’t mind me posting these HAHA. Don’t worry audge, you’re a star! Oh yeah, my bruise in that pic…you wouldn’t believe me if I told you where I got it. So Yeah haha
I have my “monthly visitor” so it’s kinda a yucky day for me, but I’m gonna try to enjoy the sunshine anyway! YES SUN FINALLY! Hope you enjoy your day too!

And for those who don’t celebrate “easter,” happy hunting for chocolate eggs day!
My family ordered some crispy pata [deep fried pork leg, it’s a Filipino delicacy!] and it was soooo fatty and delicious.
I have a short review on N.Y.C. eyeliner pencils!
The last time I bought a NYC eyeliner I think I was in middle school, but I wanted to try them out again because the waterproof pencils were getting good reviews on MUA. The pencils were surprisingly more pigmented than I remember from before. I was especially happy with the black and the white pencil I got. The brown, I was originally gonna use it as a brown eyeliner, but I found it wasn’t dark enough for my liking so I started using it for my brows and it turned out good because I can get a fuller brow with pencil than with powder.
Here is an EOTD where I used all 3 of the pencils
I used the white on my waterline to make eyes appear bigger or less tired. I lined my bottom lashline with a bit of black and used the brown on my eyebrows.
I’m glad i didn’t go ahead and buy the Sephora eyeliner pencils that I was eyeing because the regular wood eyeliner from NYC costs a dollar and the waterproof one costs around 4 dollars versus the Sephora ones which cost $5-$8. I might still pick up a brown one from Sephora though. I would definately repurchase these and I love that you can buy it almost anywhere and they’re so cheap!
Well hello again 😉
I’m gonna do a review on Revlon Colorstay foundation with Softflex. I’m gonna make it quick-ish because the way I see it is, most people like it, some really don’t so you really have to just try it for yourself and make your own conclusions. I happen to be in the group who likes it!
This was my first venture into liquid foundation and it’s been such a good experience so far. I got the shades fresh beige and medium beige and I’m not too sure about how well they match my skin, because some days I think it’s perfect and others I think it’s off. My favorite part of this foundation is it controls oil! I NEVER had a foundation do that for me before! I mean it can’t completely block the oil, but I feel like at the end of the night my face would be more dewey instead of greasy, which is awesome. The recent FOTDs I’ve been posting [like the last three or so] I was wearing Colorstay. The only thing I don’t like about it is that is a little pricey, I mean if you buy it when it is buy one buy one it’s all good, but if in an emergency or something, I would have to buy it full price, that would kinda suck. I have been applying it with cosmetic sponges so far. I think I’m gonna get another duo fiber brush to apply it with instead so it’s reusable as opposed to the sponges that I throw away each time.
So the Colorstay used to come in a bottle with a pump and when they reformulated it for whatever reason they removed the pump.. because they wanted to make our lives harder? I dunno. So I didn’t like using it by pouring it out because extra would end up on the bottle neck and its just messy so I got some pump containers for it from the japanese store. One [the one on the left] is cool because it’s a vacuum pump so everytime you pump, the bottom of the container will rise too, like it pushes the product up if you can imagine what I mean. So that means nothing goes to waste! I love that!
You like my ghetto labeling system? I don’t have tape at my house! Only post-its haha
HI EVERYBODY! i’m back!
i have a review on Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser and also the Target Cetaphil knockoff which is almost exactly the same. They have the same ingredients in the same order, and it feels very similar too. I started using it just cuz my Olay [you know they used to call it Oil of Olay and they don’t anymore…that makes me feel old for some reason haha] Moisture Balancing foaming cleanser was running low and I wanted to try new things just to break the monotony of using the same cleanser…I don’t actually have a good reason to change cleansers, I actually really like the Olay one. And it’s cheap…yeh. But anyway!
This cleanser has a ridiculous amount of reviews on MakeupAlley and it doesn’t necessarily have a high repurchase percentage but I think it’s cuz of the consistency of the wash. It’s like a lotion, and it does not lather or foam whatsoever. I think that’s part of why it’s so gentle. And I think people probably either love that it doesn’t foam or they hate it. Also in my experience it’s not the best at removing makeup.
I initially was using the Cetaphil because it’s winter and I wanted to wash my face twice a day without it being stripped so I started using the Cetaphil and it worked GREAT for the morning when my face isn’t so dirty to begin with. And then I started using it at night and I was really skeptical about if it would be able to handle the dirt, oil, sunblock, and makeup from the day and guess what….after using it for about a couple weeks, morning and night, I started breaking out! In small pimples all over my face, small red ones and whiteheads too. ARghhh, those were totally not there before I started using it at night. So basically I just use it for the morning now and it’s good for that. And I’m so glad that I could just use the Target one since Cetaphil is sorda pricey for a drugstore facewash. Like the lowest I have seen it is 10, sometimes 12 bucks and yeah it’s not super expensive, but the Target one is a better deal. For a morning facewash I would give it a 5 out of 5. For a night facewash I would give it a 3 out of 5.
